Pauline Clare

An experienced executive coach and trainer with senior leadership experience, Pauline has six years experience working across middle to director level leaders in the public, private and voluntary sectors. She has delivered accredited post-graduate coach training programmes as well as in-house ‘manager as coach’ programmes. These have been for clients including mm02, Old Mutual Group, Barnados, the Police Service and several Local Authorities and Housing Associations.

 

Pauline’s leadership experience was gained through 35 years in the Police Service where she spent the last 7 years as Chief Constable of the Lancashire Constabulary before leaving in 2002. During that time she led the organisation through significant change, involving cultural change as well as staff development. And since 2004, the Lancashire Constabulary has been graded as the best performing Police Force in England and Wales.

 

Since moving into coaching, Pauline has run master classes on leadership for the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the Institute of Directors (IoD) and Leadership Development programmes at Lancaster University. She has also delivered leadership training for women in the Scottish Police Forces and several other organisations including Fire and Rescue Services.

 

Pauline holds a post-graduate diploma in Executive Coaching as well as a B.A. (Hons) degree in psychology. She is working towards a post-graduate diploma in coaching psychology, is qualified to deliver 360 o feedback and accredited to use the Transformation Leadership Questionnaire. She is an approved coach for The Centre for Excellence in Leadership and for the Institute of Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development at Lancaster University. She is also a Companion of the CMI and member of the IoD.

 

Pauline is passionate about helping others to achieve to their full potential and brings significant wisdom and experience to this work. For relaxation she enjoys gardening and walking her dog.
